In just a week we will be headed to the northeast region of Brazil – the part of the country that is mostly known for its laid-back lifestyle! If you ask any Brazilian, they will say that those who live in Sao Paulo (an industrial, business city) are more business-oriented and more respectful of meeting deadlines. Those in the northeast – especially in the state of Bahia – tend to run late to appointments, and many events don’t happen at the time when they are scheduled. In fact, Bahians are known for having a mentality of ”Why should I do something today that I can do the day after tomorrow?”
